Magazines leverage food & beverage photography to narrate captivating stories about chefs, cuisines, and the evolving gastronomic landscape. From mouthwatering social media posts, to enticing images on food delivery platforms, food & beverage photography serves as the mouthpiece of culinary experiences, inviting the rest of us to take part.
Every dish has a story to tell. Whether it’s a representation of rich cultural traditions, a blend of delicious culinary delicacies, or an innovative indulgence created by a master chef – it’s my responsibility to translate that story into photography that entices and delights. From the dishware and napkins, to the table we photograph on, all aspects of the shoot will be strategically planned in order to weave a story they can salivate over.
My team has contracted Isabel for dozens of projects over the past 5 years, ranging from capturing the magical moments at a festive celebration, to intricate, detailed food shoots for our social media and web-based hospitality marketing. Isabel has a great eye for the right visuals, is a tireless perfectionist completely dedicated to the quality of her art, and somehow manages to be a positive, energizing element on every project. She can get close-ups of event participants eating, laughing, and partying without ever getting in the way, an almost unteachable skill that makes her live event work discreet and effective.

Isabel is an experienced pro photographer whom I got to know while we were working on an apparel brand startup. She was personable, knowledgeable, and extremely thoughtful throughout the planning and execution of our campaign. When we met to speak about her process, she thought of every detail pertaining to what we’d need for the shoot, created a thoughtful shot list, scoped out potential sites, and even brought her own resources to the forefront so that we could make the photoshoot happen on a tight budget and timeframe.
